Three days before his Bar Mitzva, a 13 year old boy with severe stomach pain turned up at the Terem Modiin branch. After a short wait he was seen by a doctor who quickly diagnosed acute appendicitis that required immediate surgery. Terem organised an ambulance to rush him to hospital and contacted the surgical team to ensure that he would be taken straight to the operating theatre without delay. This way, he was able to bypass all the regular procedures and bureaucracy and save time in what could easily have developed into a far more serious situation. The surgery was successful, recovery was quick and he made it to his own Bar Mitzva on time.
