Community Services

Terem is system of free standing emergency facilities whose mission is to offer immediate care for a wide range of conditions on a walk in basis.

Terem emergency facilities provide laboratory and radiologic services during all hours of their operation. Availability of these and other services means that 95% of cases can be definitely treated at Terem without the need for hospital referal. Most treatment is completed within two hours from time of arrival to time of discharge.

Treatment at Terem avoids the longer waits and greater exposure to illness found in hospital based emergency departments. In those cases where hospital referal is found to be medically necessary, the patient is refered by Terem with needed paperwork for the kupah to reimburse the emergency department visit in full.

As Terem firmly believes in the importance of communication between the Emergency Medical Care Center with the patient and with their physician in their long term care, Terem has provided several other services that help support this medical care triad.

Terem has established the ROfeh AMit (ROAM) service which provides easy access to patient's records by the patient and by the doctor identified by the patient as their personal physician. Terem is fully aware how important it can be in the long term care of a patient, for the patient's attending physician to be able to see records of their visit for emergency care.

Terem also strives to inform the larger community about current health issues via medical professional conferences, medical abstract newsletters, community health updates and public education newsletters. Some of these updates and newsletters are viewable through this site.
